Unique Gift Ideas for Her
When giving a gift to your wife, it’s important to show her how much you care about her. Consider her interests and things she’s told you in the past year. Below are some questions that should help jog your memory and decide which gift from below makes most sense for her.
What does she do in her free time? What gets her excited? If she could choose to meet any celebrity, who would she meet? How does she feel most loved?
Practical Gift Ideas for Women
A decent portion of this section focuses around building gift baskets or kits. Here are some basket options for a small basket (*$13.99), a medium basket (*$18.99), and a large basket (*$31.99).
1. Build a self-care kit for her.
If your wife’s been particularly stressed lately, this is is a great option for her gift! Check out the items listed below and put together a basket based on what she’d appreciate most.
NOTE: If you keep scrolling you’ll see Amazon images and links to each product.
Foot Massagers
- Foot Massager Roller (*$9.95) – This is a great gift for someone who has foot pain often. John (my husband) surprised me with this one day and it’s definitely one of the best gifts I’ve gotten to date. I leave it under my desk in my home office and use it just about every day.
- Electric Kneading Foot Massager (*$49.99) – If you’re looking for something a bit more intense, this is a great alternative to the Food Massager Roller. My mother-in-law has an electronic foot massager and it does wonders for your feet.
Bath Salt
Lavender Scented Bath Salt (*$4.99) – If your partner takes baths often, this is great for her. The scent of lavender supposedly soothes and helps us relax. I don’t know about you or your wife, but helping myself relax is typically the main reason I decide to take a bath.
Shower Cap
Shower Cap (*$14.99) – If your partner takes baths or often says she’s going to take “half showers”, this gift is great for her! I purchased one of these to keep my hair dry in the bath/shower and it’s be SO useful. Absolutely would recommend.
Facial Cleansing Brush
Facial Cleansing Brush (*$45.60) – This is a great gift for anyone! My cousin gifted me this a couple years ago and it’s done wonders for my skin. It’s extremely easy to use, and I don’t even use any face cleanser with it, just the brush!
Scrunchies
Scrunchies (*$7.99) – These are a great add-on for any self-care kit because scrunchies are great for getting hair out of your face while putting makeup on, cleaning your face, and anything in between.
Face mask
Face Mask (*$16.95) – Doing a face mask is one of the best ways to relax and you definitely can’t go wrong with a Dead Sea Mud Mask. You’ll get extra points with your partner if you’ll do the mask with her! My college roommates and I used to do these on a regular basis and they did SO much for my skin.
Lip Balm
Lip Balm (*4.96) – Every girl could use some lip balm. This is a great “stocking stuffer” type gift for any gift basket.

Thoughtful Gift Ideas for Her
1. Plan a staycation.

If you’ve lived in a place for a while, chances are you haven’t explored AirBnBs and hotels near your home. Do some research to find a place that has an atmosphere your life would appreciate. Ask your partner to block her calendar for 2–3 days for a birthday experience you’re planning for her.
To really impress her, plan everything from the place you’re staying, to the food you’ll eat for every meal and snack, to the activities you’ll do while you’re there.
Especially if she’s someone who does most of the planning (when it comes to you and her, or when it comes to her friends), she’ll appreciate you taking care of all of the details more than you know.
2. Purchase tickets for a local concert or event featuring one of her favorite celebrities.

Is there a band/artist/comedian/podcaster your wife really enjoys? Make a list of anyone that would fall into this list. Chances are, one of them will be going on tour and visiting your city or a nearby city sometime this year. Buy two tickets, print them out, wrap them up, and gift them to your wife. Don’t forget to include a thoughtful note about how much she means to you!
3. A jar full of date ideas for the next year + a jar full of things you love about her.
If you and your partner struggle to decide what to do for date nights, a jar full of date ideas for the next year is the gift for you. It’s a lot of work to plan dates.
Plan 12 dates that are near your home so that when you and your wife block of time for a date night, the only thing you need to do is put “date night” on your calendar and have her pick one date from the jar. Check out my post “5 Steps to Plan a Date You and Your Partner will Love” if you need help planning dates near you.
If your partner’s love language is Words of Affirmation the jar full of things you love about your wife is the gift for you! If this is a birthday gift, I recommend writing the amount of things for the year she’s turning, i.e. if she’s turning 40, write 40 things you love about her.
You can use either of these ideas in addition to some of the other ideas, or you can use it as it’s own gift.
4. Plan a full day date focused completely around her interests.

Write a list of all of the things that bring your wife joy. Set aside a couple hours to do some deep research in your city to find things that would be fun for her. If you’re looking for more ideas, sign up for my newsletter in the blue “Stay Updated” block to the right of this article and I’ll send you a free Printable list of date ideas that will help with your research.
5. Sign up for a subscription box related to her interests.
Subscription boxes are a great easy gift idea that can be very thoughtful if you pick the right one! While reading through the following list, consider the questions beside each one to know which one (if any) is right for your partner.
If you choose one and sign up, be sure to print out a confirmation with the site logo & description on it. Write or type up a note that says why she’s special to you and why you chose this gift for her. Put the note along with the confirmation image in an envelope or wrap it in a small box, and give it to her to open on her birthday!
NOTE: You can decide how long you want her to receive the subscriptions based on your budget. If you sign up for any of these, put a reminder in your phone to cancel the subscription after a set period of time.
